Of course, it’s really not that simple. Firefox does and will continue to be the best browser around for most people. But for those who want a little more – who want to use the browser to directly engage with the people and ideas they encounter on the web – maybe Flock can help make that process a little easier and a bit more exciting.

Very interesting piece, and quite informative in an ‘idiot’s guide’ kind of way over a range of subjects. No mention of Firefox, of course, though this wasn’t necessarily a bad call, since as soon as anyone said ‘codebase’ the viewing figures would probably have halved. The case for Flock was well put by the team, though, and the report as a whole resisted the temptation to try and force the novelty point home with too many buzzwords.
Highly interesting if youv’e never heard of Open source but nothing I didn’t already know.
