I was getting an "eSellerate engine not installed" error earlier today after apparently deleting it in a spyware scan. This error was immediately followed by a Volume Logic pop-up window that said my demo would soon expire. Forget the fact that I bought the VL plug-in back in July! Anyway, I stupidly figured that perhaps updating my iTunes would somehow restore this eSellerate engine, even though I had no idea what it was.

Only after I updated to iTunes 7 did I read about Volume Logic being incompatible with it. Doh! I downloaded iTunes 6.0.5, though am a tad anxious to install it, since it requires an uninstall of version 7. I'm not sure if my library will be wiped out with the uninstall or not.

I am a PC user, so it's been difficult finding good information about any of this. Everything is read is about the Mac.

I share your thoughts on VL, Chris. I can't even listen to CDs on my stereo anymore because they lack the rich, 3-D sound that I get with this plug-in on iTunes.

If anyone knows how best to uninstall iTunes 7 from a PC without endangering a library of 300+ songs I'd love to know. In the meantime, we wait for either a new iTunes 7 that doesn't work like garbage, or a new VL that can work with that pile of junk iT7.
