		<description>If white guys were in the minority, I would be equally concerned, as I was when I was in India. But that&#039;s typically not the case and not the issue at hand.

Proactively making room for diversity is something important to me and worth pursuing; it&#039;s fine if other people don&#039;t think it&#039;s important, but that not the kind of conference or event that I want to be associated with.</description>

		<description>What about the straight white guys that truly are the next best person for the conference, but are cast aside because you want to make room for the &quot;diverse&quot; mix?  Diversity cannot be &quot;fairly&quot; defined by numbers.  Lazy people use demographics to define diversity. Diversity can really only be measured at the individual level. 

If we&#039;re going to use numbers to define diversity, then the NBA is not &quot;reaching out&quot; to &quot;non-blacks&quot;.  Nobody questions that...</description>
