But that's typically not the case and not the issue at hand. Proactively making room for diversity is something important to me and worth pursuing; it's fine if other people don't think it's important, but that not the kind of conference or event that I want to be associated with. If we're going to use numbers to define diversity, then the NBA is not "reaching out" to "non-blacks". Nobody questions that...
