First and foremost, thankyouthankyouthankyou both for coming in. Seeing all of you tonight was exactly what I needed as I was about to jump on a table and weild a knife at some guests (okay, not that bad but you know...)

But onward to the amusing part: you might want to let Tara's son know that he has a fanclub at my work and caused quite a stir. Here's how:

I have an older male friend who comes in frequently to dine and told me that tonight he would come in with one of his female friends but she's a celebrity and doesn't want to be out in the open, could I please work somewhere quiet so they could come in? Sure, no problem. He won't tell me who she is but that she's very famous (I do know that this guy works for a couple of famous movie directors so who knows who he might have brought in).

Before I came onto my shift, I told one manager and the girl who was greeting at the front desk that I was expecting one male and one female to come in, please seat them with me, they'll ask for me, etc. and specifically told my manager that the lady accompanying him is very famous and I've been sworn to secrecy on her identity, just please let me know when they arrive.

Of course, the girl who was supposed to work in the bar area didn't show up so I was moved over there.

When you all arrived, my manager came up to me and said "Your friends are here but the girl has her face covered and looks really weird and doesn't say anything so I don't know what's going on...I told them you were over here." At that point, a couple of servers came up to me and were asking me who Tara's son was, speculating that (s)he is the singer in some band, and so on. Granted, I'm wondering how news spread so freaking fast in that restaurant when I only told one manager.

I investigated, trying to find my friend and the supposed-celebrity lady-friend and then I saw who was really here and realized what was going on (; But I let them speculate for a while before I clued them in.

So let Tara's son know that he had his fifteen minutes of fame tonight and didn't even know it.
