CivicForge

CivicForge Presentation

This is more about an idea… a vision. Something that will be built over the next 10 years. I delivered this presentation at SHDH 5 and the inaugural NetSquared event.

Obviously it would make a bit more sense if I gave the presentation, but man, this thing needs to get out there. I don’t even have the domain set up. But I could use a logo. Heh. (And right on the heels of a new SourceForge stylesheet being launched, yowza!).

  2. Hey Andrew — awesome! I’ll be posting more details here and eventually getting a site up to support this effort. It’s important to note that part of the CivicForge “concept” is that it’s intended to be distributed and totally decentralized. I don’t even know what the software is going to look like — in fact, it’s more about stringing up a series of tools to solve certain problems than it is about engineering new solutions.

Open source and open APIs will rule, that’s about all I know right now!
