This can all be made… awesome.

FactoryCity — This can all be made better. Ready? Begin.

If you only read me on RSS, you may never have seen the smirk of a catch phrase I use on this blog. If you haven’t, it’s been “This can all be made better. Ready? Begin.” for some time. I don’t know how I came up with it, but since blogs have this weird tradition of having a catch phrase, I grabbed that one and it stuck.

Anyway, I dunno, “better” sounds kind of assumptively pejorative, as though achieving satisfaction is off limits. That you always have to be improving things; never enjoying.

Whatever, it’s not a big deal. So, taking a line from Threadless, my catch phrase will now be: This can all be made awesome. Ready? Begin.

    Well, I liked better. But awesome, is well, awesome. :)

    I liked “better” too, it was like self-consciously a step above *fucked* – which spoke to social justice concerns to me. You’ve got enough hipness that optimism is understood, if you don’t mind my saying so.

    That said, making things awesome is cool too :) Good luck with that, I’d say you’re doing a good job so far.

    Hmm, two votes against so far. Well, I’ll let it sit for a day and if sounds pretentious or dumb tomorrow, I’ll make it better. Heh. ;)

    The first time I ended up on this site, knowing almost nothing about you, I distinctly remember noticing the negative connotations of the tagline.

    So I am very much in favor of tweaking it to something that matches better. Use of the word “awesome” is definitely a good direction to take it :-)

    If I might suggest, I think this can be made better and more awesome by adding the letter ‘r’.

    “This can all be made awesomer. Ready? Begin.”

    By adding the letter ‘r,’ you increase your ROA(Return on Awesome).

    @Timothy: Brilliant.

    I agree with “awesomer” and was thinking the same thing.

    I think I am going to emphasize a high ROA in all activities from now on.

    *dangerously* awesome? (dot com) ;-)

    @Tony, ROA = return on awesome? i can totally dig that.
