I was going to post about this too Chris (I may still do!).
It seems crazy that the idea of open identity protocols means that you will need to generate (and remember) fewer logon details and yet there seem to be a slew of identity protocol sites springing up to which you have to sign up and get logon details!
I already have signed up to myopenid, Verisign’s PIP and one or two others (whose names escape me already!).
